Focus of the Program


The Production and Operations Management program prepares engineers to analyze, understand and manage the operations function of a manufacturing or service organization especially in a global context. The primarily technical subjects in operations research will provide the background in order to select appropriate models and rationally assess the decision-making process. This is built on the latest knowledge in production technology and systems, industrial and virtual engineering as well as logistics and supply chain management.

The program conveys:
 

  • analytical thinking, problem solving and communication skills as the key methods for success
  • planning and control of operations systems
