Track description:
The track “Media Law and Contract Theory” consists of two important issues for future information engineers: the underlying regulatory aspects of information markets (Communication Law) and the Economics of Contracts. A basic knowledge of Communication Law is necessary in order to adjust business strategies in today`s information economy. Modern principal-agent theory as taught in the second course is required to understand the functioning of contracts within and across firms, in particular with respect to the problems that arise from the asymmetric distribution of information.
