Our Programs are therefore more than typical MBA programs. The primary goal is to enable young professionals to take a holistic approach when managing highly interdependent processes. Leadership for engineers in today’s fast changing and complex environment does imply technological and organizational responsibilities as well as requires economical accountability and Human Resource Management know-how. Therefore all programs base on 5 Management Modules where the students are provided on the one hand with basic knowledge in Finance, Accounting, Marketing and Law so they can consider commercial consequences of business decisions.
The engineering emphasis of each program is laid in 5 additonal Modules adapted to each specialization:
Production and Operations Management (POM)
The program Production and Operations Management is targeting future factory managers. Beside the above mentioned management skills the program focuses on the application of the state of the art in production technology and production engineering combined with the newest approaches of supply chain management.
Management of Product Development (MPD)
Management of Product Development offers an integrated approach towards efficient product development using virtual engineering processes in order to design highly utilized machine elements and systems.
Information Engineering is an innovative interdisciplinary field that plays a crucial role in the context of our modern networked information society. IE provides methods and tools to support the whole information supply chain in enterprises. It prepares for a challenging career in the telecommunication sector, in the information departments of financial institutes or e.g. as a consultant in the field of e-business.
Financial Engineering provides innovative solutions for pricing, hedging, trading and portfolio management problems by employing advanced mathematical methods and computer technology. By this highly interdisciplinary program the HECTOR School answers to the needs of financial companies as well as investment or commercial banks but also companies with a strong corporate finance department.
Embedded Electronic Systems Engineering (ICST)
The Master Program "ICST - Embedded Electronic Systems Engineering" is geared to industrial processes and methods of embedded electronic systems and shows in an interdisciplinary concept its economic consequences. The program prepares participants for the adoption of on-going tasks, such as development and management of innovation and production processes. To that effect, the curriculum is comprised of technical, organziational and economic subjects and furthermore it provides a deep insight into new methods of product development, new materials and technologies and applications of embedded systems for wireless and optical communication, signal processing and integration systems.
