Prof. Dr. Marliese Uhrig-Homburg
Appointed to the faculty in 2002, Prof. Uhrig-Homburg´s research interests are the pricing and the role of derivates, credit risk and credit derivates, fixed income markets and terms structure theory. Her current work includes the valuation of default able claims and the problem of investment timing under financial constraints. She is the author of several recent papers on financial engineering in leading academic journals and has received best paper awards at the Western Finance Association Meeting, from the association of University Professors of Management, and was honored with the award for practical potential of the Q-Group and the Institute of Quantitative Investment Research (INQUIRE). She has worked as a consultant to industrial firms and financial institutions on risk management and derivative pricing and is an instructor of courses developed for advanced market professionals. Prof. Uhrig-Homburg is member of the Advisory Board of the German Finance Association and co-organizes the international symposium on Finance, Banking and Insurance.
